Editorial Policy
Last updated: June 1, 2025
The Journll Blog is committed to producing accurate, useful, and independent content on artificial intelligence and digital marketing. This Editorial Policy describes how we create, review, publish, and maintain our content, and the standards every article must meet before it appears on this Site.
1. Our Mission
Our mission is to help marketers, founders, and business owners understand and apply AI and digital marketing strategies effectively. Every piece of content we publish must genuinely help readers — not exist for its own sake, to fill pages, or to rank for keywords. If an article does not provide meaningful value to our readers, it does not get published.
2. Editorial Independence
Our editorial team operates entirely independently from our commercial team. Advertising relationships, affiliate partnerships, and sponsorships have no influence on which topics we cover, how we cover them, or the conclusions we reach. Advertisers do not have the right to review or approve editorial content before publication.
When we publish sponsored content, it is clearly labelled “Sponsored” or “Partner Content” at the top of the article. Sponsored content is held to the same factual accuracy standards as editorial content, but readers should know it is produced with commercial support.
3. Author Standards and Expertise
Every author who contributes to The Journll Blog is vetted for relevant expertise before their first article is published. We require contributors to demonstrate:
- Real-world experience in the subject area they write about.
- A verifiable professional history (work history, published work, or credentials).
- The ability to produce original analysis, not merely restate existing information.
Author profiles with credentials, professional background, and areas of expertise are displayed on every article. Readers should be able to evaluate the qualifications of the person whose advice they are following.
4. Research and Source Standards
We hold all factual claims to a high standard of evidence:
- Primary sources preferred: We cite original research, official documentation, government statistics, and peer-reviewed studies wherever possible.
- No fabricated statistics: We do not publish statistics without a verifiable source. If a statistic cannot be attributed to a specific, checkable source, it is not used.
- Source recency: We prioritise recent data. When using older data, we note the date and explain why it is still relevant.
- Multiple sources: Significant claims are corroborated with more than one independent source where possible.
5. Use of AI Tools in Content Production
The Journll Blog uses AI writing tools as part of our content production process. We believe in being transparent about this. Our policy is as follows:
- AI-generated drafts are always reviewed, edited, and substantially improved by a human editor or subject-matter expert before publication.
- AI tools are used to assist with research, drafting, and formatting — not to replace human judgement, expertise, or editorial responsibility.
- All factual claims, statistics, and recommendations in AI-assisted articles are verified by a human before publication.
- The final article must meet the same quality, accuracy, and originality standards as any other article on the Site, regardless of how the first draft was produced.
6. Affiliate and Commercial Relationships
Some articles contain affiliate links to products and services. Our policy on affiliate relationships:
- We only include affiliate links for products and services we have personally evaluated and believe provide genuine value to readers.
- Affiliate links do not influence the content of our reviews or recommendations. A product with an affiliate programme does not receive favourable coverage because of that relationship.
- All articles containing affiliate links include a clear disclosure statement at the top of the article.
- We regularly re-evaluate recommended tools and update or remove affiliate links when products no longer meet our standards.
7. Content Updates and Corrections
We are committed to keeping our content accurate over time:
- Updates:When we update an article with significant new information, we add an “Updated on” date and a note describing what changed. Minor edits (grammar, formatting) may be made without a public notice.
- Corrections: If we publish inaccurate information and discover it, we correct it promptly and add a correction notice to the article explaining what was changed and why. We do not silently delete or rewrite incorrect content.
- Reporting errors: If you identify an error in any of our articles, please email corrections@journll.com. We investigate all reports within 48 hours.
8. Prohibited Content
The Journll Blog does not publish:
- Content that is defamatory, harassing, or discriminatory.
- Content that promotes illegal activities.
- Content that includes fabricated statistics or invented case studies.
- Content that makes unsubstantiated medical, legal, or financial claims.
- Content produced solely for search engine manipulation (keyword stuffing, thin content).
- Content that misleads readers about the nature of products or commercial relationships.
9. Comments and User Content
Reader comments are moderated before publication. We remove comments that are spam, abusive, defamatory, or off-topic. We do not remove comments simply because they disagree with our content — respectful disagreement is welcome.
